Ole Miss Tracksters Split For The Weekend

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss track and field teams will split up this weekend and travel to two different meets. The UM teams were originally supposed to be hosting the Ole Miss Invitational on Saturday, April 13, but due to continued construction on the Ole Miss track, the meet has been canceled.

The Ole Miss throwers will be traveling to Knoxville, Tenn., to take part in the 36th Sea Ray Relays hosted by the University of Tennessee at Tom Black Track, April 12-13. The Sea Ray Relays will field 1,364 men's and women's competitors from 97 teams. Competition begins at 9 a.m. both days.

The Ole Miss runners will travel to Starkville, Miss., to take compete in the Jace Lacoste Invitational hosted by Mississippi State on Saturday, April 13 at W. O. Spencer Stadium/Carl Maddox Track. Field events are slated to begin at 10 a.m., with the running scheduled to start at noon.
