OXFORD, Miss. - The Rebels went through the Thursday practice in shorts, in what would be the final practice for the team before a walk-through on Friday in preparation for the season opener against Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday at home.
Ole Miss head coach David Cutcliffe saw several positives in what he characterized as a good rehearsal for the squad. The Rebels worked on all three phases of the game from special teams play to perfecting plays on offense and defense.
"We had a good practice today and got a lot of the things accomplished that we needed to work on," Cutcliffe said. "It was a good rehearsal of our plans for us. I think we're finally ready to get out and play a game."
Ole Miss and Louisiana-Monroe will kick-off at 6 p.m. on Saturday in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
