OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Athens, Ga., Monday, Nov. 3 to compete in the 2003 SEC Cross Country Championships, held at the University of Georgia Golf Course. The men's 8K race will begin at 9 a.m. with the women's 6K race set to follow around 10 a.m.

As they have all season, the Lady Rebels will be led by sophomore Rachel Ellison, whose 6K time of 22:47.88 was a team best at the Chile Pepper Invitational two weeks ago. Sophomore Jimmy Lohmar continues to pace the Rebels as he has consistently finished among the top three runners on the team all season long.

Set to defend their SEC titles from a year ago are the Arkansas men's and women's cross country teams. Both squads took home team titles in 2002, with Arkansas' Christin Wurth capturing the individual title in the women's 6K.

Highlights from the SEC Championships will appear on the Nov. 6 SEC-TV Weekly Show on Fox Sports Net South.
