OXFORD, Miss. - The Rebels went through the Thursday practice in shorts, in what would be the final practice for the team before a walk-through on Friday in preparation for the season opener against Vanderbilt on Saturday in Nashville.
Ole Miss head coach David Cutcliffe saw several positives in what he characterized as a good rehearsal for the squad. The Rebels worked on all three phases of the game from special teams play to perfecting plays on offense and defense.
"We had a good practice and got a lot of the things accomplished that we needed to work on," Cutcliffe said. "We had a good rehearsal of our plans for the game. I think we're finally ready to get out and play."
Ole Miss and Vanderbilt will kick-off at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at Vanderbilt Stadium. The game will be aired live on Jefferson-Pilot Sports.
