AUBURN POSTGAME NOTES
Game Notes
- Auburn's game captains were DE Quentin Groves and RB Carnell Williams.
- Game time weather was 73 degrees with 57 percent humidity. Wind is 3 mph from the West/Southwest. It was fair.
- Auburn won the coin toss and elected to defer. The Tigers defended the South End Zone.
Auburn Individual Notes
- QB Jason Campbell is now 27-9 in 36 career starts at Auburn. Since 1970, only Stan White (45) has made more starts. He has started 28 consecutive games with a record of 22-6.
- After starting the game completing 3-of-10 passes, Jason Campbell went 8-of-12 the rest of the way. In fact, he completed eight of his next nine passes before throwing incompletions on his last three passes.
- RB Carnell Williams set an Auburn career rushing attempt record, passing Joe Cribbs, who had 657 from 1976-79. Williams ended the game with 16 carries for 96 yards, giving him 669 rushes for his career.
- RB Carnell Williams' 29-yard TD run in the fourth quarter marked his ninth rushing TD of the season and 42nd of his career, one shy of tying Bo Jackson's school record of 43. It is Williams's sixth-straight game to score a touchdown and his longest rushing TD of the season.
- RB Ronnie Brown 100 yards vs. Ole Miss, marking the eighth time in his career he has reached the century mark and the fourth time this season.
- DE Doug Langenfeld's first quarter sack was his third this season and fifth of his career.
- WR Courtney Taylor's first quarter reception gave him at least one in 21-of-22 career games.
- DE Quentin Groves' first quarter sack was his 7 ½ this season and 5 ½ in his last two games. He had 4 ½ against Kentucky.
- DE Stanley McClover's first quarter sack was his 5 ½ this season and 2 ½ in last two games.
- TE Cooper Wallace's ended the game with two catches, giving him nine this season. His first, a 36-yarder, marked his longest in three seasons.
- QB Jason Campbell rushed for two touchdowns in a single game for the first time in his career tonight vs. Ole Miss. He now has three rushing TDs this season and eight in his career.
- RB Carnell Williams' 57-yard reception early in the third quarter marked his season-long and longest since a 61-yard catch against Georgia in 2001. The play also marks Auburn's fifth-longest play this season.
- RB Ronnie Brown's 2-yard touchdown run in the third quarter was the 27th of his career.
- LB Travis Williams' third quarter sack was his 1 ½ this season.
- LB Antarrious Williams' third quarter sack was his third this season.
- QB Jason Campbell finished the game 11-of-22 passing for 234 yards. He is now second all-time in Auburn history in passing yardage with 6,313, surpassing Pat Sullivan, who had 6,284 yards from 1969-71. Stan White (1990-93) holds the record with 8,016 yards. It also marks the ninth time in Campbell's career he has passed for 200 yards or more in a game, and the fourth time in his last five games.
- FS Will Herring's third quarter interception was his third this season and sixth of his career.
- WR Courtney Taylor's third quarter touchdown reception was his fourth this season. It also marked QB Jason Campbell's 39th-career touchdown pass, tying him for third all-time in Auburn history with Dameyune Craig.
- Karibi Dede's fumble recovery in the fourth quarter was his first this season and the second of his career.
Auburn Team Notes
- The win over Ole Miss clinched at least a share of the SEC's Western Division title for the Tigers and guaranteed a trip to the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta.
- Auburn has now won six consecutive games vs. Ole Miss in Oxford, last losing to the Rebels 45-21 in 1992.
- Auburn has now won 11 consecutive games, marking the longest streak for the Tigers under Tommy Tuberville and the longest for AU since reeling off 20-straight wins between 1993-94.
- Auburn's 9-0 start is Auburn's best open to a season since winning eight-straight to start the 1994 season and it is the sixth time in the history of Auburn football that the Tigers have begun 9-0. The Tigers have won seven consecutive SEC games, equaling that many won from 2000-01.
- This marks Tommy Tuberville's 47th win at Auburn, tying Terry Bowden (1993-98) for fifth on the school's all-time coaching victories list.
- Under Tommy Tuberville, Auburn is 29-0 when scoring 30 or more points in a game. Auburn has won 42 consecutive games when scoring 30 or more points in a game.
- Auburn held Ole Miss scoreless on the first drive of the game, the eighth time in nine games this season the Tigers have accomplished the feat. LSU scored a touchdown on its opening drive to become the only opponent to open with a score against Auburn.
- Auburn failed to score on its opening drive of the game, just the second time this season the Tigers have failed to do so. The first came against The Citadel.
- Auburn's defense gave up a season-high 433 yards total offense, eclipsing the 337 yards Arkansas gained against the Tigers Oct. 16.
- Auburn failed to score in the first quarter against Ole Miss, the first time this season the Tigers have failed to put points on the board in the first.
- Auburn's second quarter scoring drive lasted eight plays and 99 yards, tying a school record. It also marks the second time this season the Tigers have moved the ball 99 yards on a drive, matching an 11-play drive on the third quarter against Louisiana Tech. The last time the Tigers did it in an SEC game came in 1999 against Mississippi State, when Auburn drove on 10 plays over a 4:05 span.
- Auburn held Ole Miss scoreless in the first half, the fourth time this season the Tigers have done so. Auburn has held its opponents to 17 points in the first half this season.
- Auburn's seven first-half points was the second-lowest total this season, behind the Tigers' three against LSU.
- Auburn FS Will Herring's third quarter interception was Auburn's first in its last three games. The Tigers started the season with at least one interception in its first six games.

SERIES NOTES
- Tonight's game is the 29th meeting all-time between Ole Miss and Auburn dating back to 1928.
- Auburn now holds a 21-8 advantage in the all-time series after tonight's 35-14 victory.
- The Tigers are 7-1 all-time against the Rebels in Oxford.
- Auburn has now won 10 of the last 12 meetings in the series dating back to 1993, and 19 of the last 22 dating back to the Tigers' 35-28 win in the 1971 Gator Bowl.
- Tonight's 21-point margin was the largest in the series since Auburn's 33-point win in 1995 (46-13).

- Auburn averaged 9.6 yards on first down, recording 306 yards on 32 first down plays.
- Ole Miss' average starting field possession was its own 18, while Auburn's average starting field position was its own 39.
REBEL NOTEBOOK
- Auburn, ranked No. 3 in this week's Associated Press Top 25, is the highest-ranked opponent the Rebels have faced since hosting No. 3 LSU last year on Nov. 22. LSU won that game 17-14.
- The Tigers marked the third straight ranked opponent Ole Miss has faced. The Rebels defeated No. 25 South Carolina 31-28 in Columbia on Oct. 9 and lost 21-17 to No. 13 Tennessee on Oct. 16 in Oxford before losing 35-14 this evening to No. 3 Auburn.
- The Rebels are 20-49 all-time versus teams ranked in the top 10.
- Tonight's attendance of 60,787 is the sixth-largest in the history of Vaught-Hemingway Stadum/Hollingsworth Field.
- Ole Miss has trailed at halftime in 7-of-8 games this season as the Rebels were down 7-0 at the break this evening. The only time this season the Rebels were ahead at halftime was at South Carolina, 21-14, on Oct. 9.
- The Rebels have now trailed at the end of the third quarter in 6-of-8 games this season, as Auburn led 21-7 at the end of three this evening.
- The 104 penalty yards by Ole Miss tonight marked the first time the Rebels have been penalized over 100 yards since recording 114 yards against Tulane in 2000.
OFFENSIVE NOTES
- Redshirt freshman RB Alan Abrams drew his first career start this evening.
- Sophomore RB Jamal Pittman saw his first action of the season tonight. He rushed for nine yards on his first carry in the second quarter, and finished the evening with 30 yards rushing on four carries.
- The 64-yard TD pass from sophomore QB Ethan Flatt to senior WR Bill Flowers was Ole Miss' longest play from scrimmage this season. The previous long was a 54-yard run by Vashon Pearson against Vanderbilt on Sept. 18.
- The 64-yard reception was Flowers' career long. His previous long was a 59-yard reception last year at Florida.
- With two receptions this evening, Flowers moved into sole possession of third place on the Ole Miss career list for receptions with 141. He entered the night, tied for third place with Ta'Boris Fisher (1993-96) with 139 receptions. Flowers needs one reception to tie Grant Heard (1996-2000) for second place on the Ole Miss career list with 142.
- The seven sacks by Auburn tonight marked a season high for sacks allowed by the Rebels. The previous high was four by Tennessee on Oct. 16.
- Ole Miss 36:03 time of possession this evening was a season high and marked the Rebels' fourth straight game with at least 30:00 minutes of possession.
- Sophomore QB Ethan Flatt drew the start tonight and recorded 44 snaps under center. Redshirt freshman Robert Lane took 25 snaps and junior QB Micheal Spurlock recorded three snaps under center.
DEFENSIVE NOTES
- Senior FS Eric Oliver recorded a season-high 10 tackles tonight to surpass the 300-mark for his career. He now has 307 career tackles.
- The 99-yard scoring drive by Auburn in the second quarter marked the third time this season an opponent has recorded a scoring march of at least 90 yards (Alabama 98; South Carolina 92).
- The 4-play, 76-yard scoring march by Auburn on its opening series of the second half, marked the first time this season the Rebels have allowed the opposition to score on their opening possession of the third quarter.
- Junior CB Travis Johnson intercepted his first pass of the season and the eighth of his career in the fourth quarter.
SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
- Senior PK Jonathan Nichols converted both PAT attempts this evening to extend his streak of consecutive PATs made to 114, which is the nation's longest active streak.
