"Its finally here," said Ole Miss head coach Carol Ross, who is entering her second season with the Lady Rebels. "We have been waiting to tip-off the season for a while now. We still have a lot to work on as a team, but I think we are prepared to play and are looking forward to getting some game action under our belts."

The Lady Rebels return three starters including 2004 SEC Freshman of the Year guard/forward Armintie Price. Also returning to the starting line-up from last season's 17-14 club are seniors guard Carletta Brown and center Amber Watts.

Five other players return to the Ole Miss line-up from last year's NCAA Tournament team in senior guard Elizabeth Cansdale, senior center Amber Terrell, junior guard Ashley Johnson, junior forward Ellen Buchanan and sophomore guard Ashley Awkward.

Joining the returning Lady Rebels will be junior college transfer LaTanya Jones and freshmen Dee Forrest, Lindsay Roy and Tasi Worsham. Also joining the line-up for Ole Miss will be redshirt freshman Jada Mincy, who sat out last season nursing a knee injury.

The Lady Rebels defeated EA Sports, 109-67, in their lone exhibition contest of the 2004-05 campaign. Price led Ole Miss with 21 points, while Forrest added 19 points and 10 rebounds. Also in double-figures in the win were Watts with 14 points and Johnson with 11.

UAB travels to Bowling Green, Ky., to take on Western Kentucky on Friday night, before playing host to the Lady Rebels on Sunday. The Blazers are under the direction of first-year head coach Audra Smith.

Ole Miss will play their home-opener on Wednesday, Nov. 24, when No. 22/25 Louisiana Tech comes to Oxford. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Tad Smith Coliseum. Complimentary tickets can be picked up at Kroger in Oxford, as well as, Walmart, Bofields, Abners and Oxford/University Bank.
