OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Tommie Eddie scored a career-high 24 points to lead four players in double figures Friday, and Mississippi won its home opener 91-68 over Tennessee Tech.

Eddie, who had a total 12 points in three previous games for the Rebels (2-2), connected on all eight field goal attempts and finished 8-of-11 from the free throw line. Eddie added four steals and a pair of assists to dominate the inside game.

Freshman Brandon Patterson had 19 points, including five 3-pointers.

Guards Londrick Nolen and Todd Abernethy had 13 and 11 points, respectively, for Ole Miss, which was 12-for-24 from 3-point range.

Tennessee Tech (0-1) was led by Milone Clark and Anthony Fisher with 15 points each. Keyon Boyd added 14.

Willie Jenkins, the preseason Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year, was limited to two points.

The Rebels closed the first half with a 40-18 run to take a 50-34 halftime lead.

Ole Miss began the second half with 10 straight points, highlighted by Nolen's 3-pointer and a dunk that essentially put Tennessee Tech away.

The Rebels' biggest lead, 84-55, came with 2:02 remaining.
