OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss senior Mary Nell Bennett continued to receive recognition for her efforts on and off the court as the senior was recently named to the Southeastern Conference Good Works Team for her efforts in the community.

Bennett, a libero on the Ole Miss volleyball team, was one of 12 athletes selected by the conference office for recognition for their good works in the local community.

"We're very proud of Mary Nell and all that she has done to make the Ole Miss and Oxford communities a little bit better than they were when she got here," said Ole Miss head coach Joe Getzin. "Mary Nell has done great things in the community and is very deserving of this honor for her time and her heart."

Bennett has served as the vice-president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee during her time on campus and has been highly involved in several community outreach projects. The Louisville, Ky., native has participated in Reading With The Rebels, Toys for Tots and helped head up a canned food drive for the community this past Thanksgiving.

An excellent student, Bennett has been named to the Dean's and Chancellor's Honor Roll throughout her career for the Lady Rebels. She has also been a two-time selection for the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
