AUBURN, Ala. – The Ole Miss volleyball program is back on the road this weekend, opening a two-match swing on Friday night at Auburn.

The Rebels (8-10, 2-5 SEC) will do battle with the Tigers (11-8, 1-6 SEC) at 8 p.m. CT and the match will be televised on the SEC Network.

RALLY POINTS
  • The Ole Miss volleyball program is set for a brief two-match road swing, opening at Auburn.
  • Freshman Jaidyn Hartsfield enters the week on the heels of her career-high 15 kill performance against South Carolina on Sunday.
  • The Rebels have not lost in the state of Alabama since 2023.
  • The Rebels have developed an early tendency to finish strong. Ole Miss is a combined 14-22 in all first and second sets, but 17-16 in sets three through five.
  • Libero Cameron Bradley continues to lead the SEC in digs per set at 4.93. Despite injuries marring a few matches, Bradley ranks 10th nationally in the metric.
  • Sophomore Bella Bonanno has stepped up in Bradley's absence, recently recording a career-high 18 digs against South Carolina, while being one of the team's top servers.
  • Ole Miss is 7-0 when recording at least seven service aces, compared to 1-10 across all others.
  • The Rebels have cut down their service errors in recent matches. After averaging 12.67 errors per match through the first nine, that number is down to 8.4 over the next nine.
SERIES HISTORY
The Rebels bring a narrow all-time lead in the series against Auburn, holding a 39-33 all-time advantage. Each team has traded decisive blows in recent years, with the Tigers taking a 3-0 win in Oxford in 2025, while the Rebels rolled to a 3-1 win in Auburn in 2024. In fact, the two sides have not played a five-setter since 2018. In the last meeting between the two programs, Keirstyn Carlton had a big match as a freshman, recording eight kills on .455 hitting.

LAST TIME OUT
Despite taking the opening set, the Rebels were unable to hold off the charge of the visiting South Carolina Gamecocks, falling, 3-1, on Sunday afternoon. The Rebels got strong performances from a pair of freshmen, led by a career-high 15 kills from Jaidyn Hartsfield and a career-high four kills off the bench for Sophie Taylor. However, the Rebels offense went cold after the opening set, as South Carolina comfortably took the remaining sets to seal the win.

CAM CAN
Ole Miss libero Cameron Bradley had a season debut to remember, tallying an NCAA leading 78 digs over the first three matches of the season on her way to SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Bradley bested her previous career-high in digs in all three matches, headlined by a 30-dig performance in the finale against LMU.

Since that time, Bradley has gotten off to a sensational start to what has been a breakout campaign. Despite currently dealing with an injury, Bradley ranks third the SEC in total digs at 266, while the Austin, Texas native also leads the SEC and ranks 10th in the nation in digs per set with 4.93.

Bradley is in her first season as the starting libero following the graduation of all-time digs leader Cammy Niesen and has seamlessly stepped into the rotation. Bradley has also shined at the service line with 14 service aces this season.

TIME TO CROOK
The Rebels made a big splash in the transfer portal entering this season, adding UAB opposite Jorda Crook to the program. A native of Ohatchee, Ala., Crook made her mark in three seasons as a Blazer, earning two All-AAC First Team honors and taking home five AAC Player of the Week awards, becoming the first UAB volleyball player to ever accomplish the feat.

Crook follows a growing path of impact transfers into the program. Head coach Bre Henry and her staff have developed 400-kill hitters in back-to-back seasons, with Crook entering the fold on the heels of 394 kills as a junior at UAB.

Crook is off to a great start to her Ole Miss tenure, tallying a team-high 207 kills, while also leading the team with 54.0 blocks and ranking second in with 18 service aces.

Crook made personal history against Missouri, reaching 1,000 kills in her decorated career and doing so in just 86 matches.

THE ROAD TO 1K
After senior opposite Jorda Crook earned her 1,000th collegiate kill in a home victory over Missouri on October 2, the Rebels have their eyes on more big milestones ahead of the meat of the SEC schedule.

Shayla Meyer is seeking to join Crook at 1,000 kills, standing at 916 in her collegiate career. The fifth year is unique in all have come as a Rebel and reaching the milestone would put Meyer into the top-10 all-time in the rally scoring era at Ole Miss. Setter Vivianna Samaniego is also chasing a personal milestone, standing 109 assists away from 1,000 assists.

CLIMBING THE LADDER
Shayla Meyer enters her final collegiate season with eyes on the record books. After multiple service aces at No. 4 Kentucky, Meyer moved into a tie for third place in the rally scoring era in service aces and now has 86 in her career. Meyer is seeking to become the eighth Rebel to ever reach 100 service aces.

Her 32 aces in 2025 marked Meyer's second straight season with 30 or more service aces. A third-consecutive 30-ace season would be enough to allow Meyer to become just the second Rebel in the rally scoring era to tally 100 or more service aces and put pressure on becoming the all-time leader in the era.

Additionally, Meyer also has eyes on several longer-term milestones, including 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs. Meyer currently sits at 916 kills and 749 digs in her standout Rebel tenure.

SCOUTING AUBURN
Despite a strong non-conference campaign, the Auburn Tigers enter the weekend on an SEC high six match losing streak, standing at 11-8 overall. The Tigers earned several strong victories in the non-conference season under head coach Brent Crouch, defeating Florida State and DePaul, but after an SEC opening win over Arkansas, the Tigers haven't been able to replicate the same performance.

The offense had to deal with the loss Lauren Dreves for parts of the season, but the dynamic hitter is back, alongside current leading scorer Belle Patrick, with both averaging over 3.50 kills per set. The setting position is shared between former Rebel Carson Eickenloff and Shanelle Puetz. On defense, Grace Havlicek has quickly become a dominant force, with a team-high 70.0 blocks to pace the team.
