Lady Rebels Eighth After Day One in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. - The Ole Miss women's golf team is eighth out of 17 teams after day one of the annual LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic. The three-day event continues with 18 holes Saturday and wraps up with 18 more Sunday.
The Lady Rebels fired a 313 Friday, which was 25-over-par. Alabama leads the pack after day one with a score of 299 (+11). LSU (301, +13), UNC-Wilmington (304, +16), South Carolina (305, +17) and North Carolina (306, +18) round out the top five.
Junior Nikki Hadd is tied for 13th place after day one (76, +4), while freshman Adrienne White and junior Jade Polonich are knotted with nine other individuals in 24th (78, +6).
The field returns to the University Club links Saturday morning for tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m.
