Women's Golf Experiences Difficult First Day In Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. - The Ole Miss women's golf team experienced some difficulty in day one of the 23rd annual Southeastern Conference Championships. The Lady Rebels, who fired a 315 Friday, head into Saturday's second round in a tie for 11th place. Auburn leads the way through 18 holes after firing a 292 (+4) in round one.
Freshman Adrienne White carded Ole Miss' top score (76, +4) on the afternoon to tie for 27th individually. Junior Nikki Hadd posted a 77, while sophomore Laura Evans carded a 79, junior Jade Polonich registered an 83 and sophomore Sarah Kate Cousart posted an 86.
The teams will return to the University Golf Club Saturday morning for round two, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
