Paul Eck Is Latest Football Signee

OXFORD, Miss. - Paul Eck, a 6-5, 200 pound quarterback-defensive back from Andale High School in Andale, Kan., is the latest football signee of the Ole Miss Rebels, it was announced Wednesday by head coach David Cutcliffe.
Eck was a first team All-League quarterback and defensive back during his senior season at Andale High. He made The Wichita Eagle 4A first team and Top 33, while also being selected as The Hutchison News 4A Offensive Player of the Year. An Elite 11 pick, Eck was chosen to play in Kansas Shrine Bowl.
As a senior, Eck had 463 yards rushing on 141 carries and scored 15 rushing TDs. He also completed 124 of 255 passes for 1,861 yards with nine TD passes. On defense, he was credited with 70 tackles. During his four-year prep football career, Eck had 4,162 yards passing.
Coached in high school by Gary O'Hair, Eck earned four letters in football. He also lettered four years in basketball and one year in track.
During his senior basketball season, Eck averaged 21 points, five rebounds, and two steals per game, while earning All-League first team, Wichita Eagle 4A first team, and second team All-Classes. He was The Hutchison News 4A Player of the Year and Top Five All-Classes.
