Rebel 4x400-Meter Relay Finishes Fourth At Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas - The Rebel 4x400-Meter Relay team took home fourth place at the Texas Relays on Saturday, posting a season's best and NCAA Regional qualifying time of 3:06.73. Stephen Taylor, Mark Gregory, Kao Wokoma and Franz Bernard joined forces in posting the fourth place finish.
"The guys ran extremely well today," said Ole Miss head coach Joe Walker. "The came into this meet very focused and prepared. I think their performances reflect that. This is a great performance considering it is just the beginning of the outdoor season."
The Rebels finished fourth behind UCLA (3:04.25), Texas Tech (3:05.44) and Florida State (3:05.79).
On the field, Ole Miss junior Brandon Atkinson finished seventh in the triple jump. Atkinson's best mark of the day was 52-5.25.
The Rebels and Lady Rebels will return to action on Saturday, April 10, when they host the Ole Miss Dual Meet.
