Game Notes

Ole Miss will be searching for their first conference win when they play host to Arkansas at 2 p.m., in Tad Smith Coliseum on Sunday.

The Lady Rebels are 10-4, 0-1 under the direction of second-year head coach Carol Ross. Ross, who played at Ole Miss from 1979-82, earned SEC Co-Coach of the Year honors in 2004 after guiding Ole Miss back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in eight seasons.

Senior Amber Watts tied her career high of 25 points in Ole Miss' loss at #17/16 Georgia on Thursday night. Watts connected on 11-of-18 shots from the field, including making her lone three-point attempt. She also nailed two free throws. Sophomore Armintie Price was the only other Lady Rebel in double figures with 12 points. Price also grabbed five steals.

Arkansas enters Sunday's game with a 10-3 overall mark and an 0-2 record in conference play. The Lady Razorbacks fell at Georgia in their SEC opener and dropped a game to Florida at home on Thursday.

The Lady `Backs are led by sophomore Kristin Peoples with 11.3 points per game and 2.8 steals per game. Junior Kristin Moore leads UA with 5.9 rebounds per game. Junior Rochelle Vaughn adds 9.8 points and a team high 3.5 assists per game.

Arkansas head coach Susie Gardner is 26-15 in her second year with the Lady `Backs. Her overall coaching record is 138-107 in her ninth season in the business.
