Lady Rebel Basketball To Host Alabama Sunday

Ole Miss will look to get back on the winning track after losing back-to-back games at the hands of #1/1 LSU and #5/5 Tennessee. The Lady Rebels will play host to Alabama on Sunday, Feb. 13 at 2 p.m., in Tad Smith Coliseum.
The Lady Rebels are 15-7, 5-4 under the direction of second-year head coach Carol Ross. Ross, who played at Ole Miss from 1979-82, earned SEC Co-Coach of the Year honors in 2004 after guiding Ole Miss back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in eight seasons.
Ole Miss is led by a trio of All-SEC candidates in Armintie Price, Amber Watts and Carletta Brown. Price leads Ole Miss in scoring and rebounding with 15.2 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. Watts adds 12.2 points and 7.1 caroms per contest, to go along with 1.9 blocks per game. Brown is chipping in 9.8 points and leading the Lady Rebels with 4.7 assists.
Alabama enters Sunday's game with a 13-9 overall record, including a 4-5 mark in SEC play. The Crimson Tide rolls into Oxford having defeated Florida, 77-66, on Sunday, Feb. 6 before losing to Arkansas, 83-68, in their last outing.
The Crimson Tide are led by sophomore Marverly Nettles with 12.9 points per game. Seniors Monique Bivins and Natasha Gamble add 10.7 and 10.0 points per game, respectively, while sophomore Lauren Hill leads the Tide in rebounding with 7.2 boards per contest. Sophomore Kate Mastin leads Alabama with 60 assists on the season and Nettles leads the Tide with 45 steals.
Alabama head coach Rick Moody is 310-170 in his 16th season with the Crimson Tide. His overall coaching record is the same.
