SERIES INFORMATION

Tonight's game marked the first-ever meeting between Purdue and Ole Miss in baseball.
Tonight's 14-3 win improved Ole Miss to 33-19 (.635 winning pct.) all-time versus teams in the Big 10 Conference.
The Rebels have now won seven straight games against Big 10 teams since losing 5-0 to Minnesota back on Feb. 23, 1992 at Swayze Field.

Tonight's game was the Boilermakers' first against an SEC team since a 3-2 loss at Vanderbilt last year in the Music City Challenge.
This weekend's series is Purdue's first three-game series against an SEC team since playing a three-game series at Alabama, March 3-5, 2000.

OLE MISS NOTES

Junior RF Brian Pettway doubled in the fifth inning to extend his hitting streak to a career-best 10 games.
The Rebels have recorded at least one double play in eight straight games after turning one in the seventh inning tonight.
Ole Miss recorded 14 hits this evening, marking the Rebels' seventh consecutive game with at least 10 hits.
The Rebels hit two HRs tonight and have now hit at least one HR in 8-of-10 games this season, and are 7-1 when hitting at least one HR.
Sophomore 3B Chris Coghlan went 3x4 tonight and is now 12x23 (.522) in the last six games.
Coghlan also scored a career-high four runs tonight, and is the first Rebels to score four runs in a game since Stephen Head scored four last year on March 6 against Eastern Illinois.
Junior RHP Mark Holliman's 10 strikeouts tonight are the most by an Ole Miss pitcher this season.
Every Ole Miss position starter recorded at least one hit on the evening.
