Junior RHP Anthony Cupps struck out a career-high 12 in 6.0 innings of work. His previous career high was 6 in the season opener versus Arkansas State (2/15).
Junior Stephen Head hit his 32nd and 33rd career HRs this evening to move into sole possession of second place on the school's career list.
Head's two-run HR in the first inning also marked his 200th career hit.
Head's five RBI tonight tied his career high set against Louisiana Tech on Feb. 16, 2003.
Head now has 144 career RBI to move into sixth place on the school's career list.
Junior OF Brian Pettway went 1-for-4 and has a hit in 38-of-41 games this season.
