Rebel Golfers Hold Fourth Spot After Day Two In Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. - The Ole Miss men's golf team held strong in fourth after a 297 in round two of the Billy Hitchcock Intercollegiate at the Auburn University Club on Saturday.
The Rebels (298-297--595) are one stroke behind third-place Charlotte (594) and ten strokes behind second-place Memphis (585). Auburn continues to lead the field of 12 at 582.
Senior Jordan Dempsey once again led the way for the Rebels with a two-under 70, to put him at two-under (142) after 36 holes. He will head into Sunday's final round tied for third overall and looking for his seventh top-five finish in ten tournaments this season.
Senior Lucas Boyd will enter the final round tied for ninth with a 145 after rounds of 72 and 73. Sophomore Kyle Ellis (76-76--152) is tied for 30th, sophomore Brice Bailey (78-78--156) is tied for 47th and sophomore Callum Macaulay (80-82--162) is tied for 61st.
The third and final round will kick off at 8 a.m. with a split-tee format that will see Ole Miss teeing off with South Alabama and Georgia State.
