OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss Director of Athletics Pete Boone wished to thank the fans, players and all those that contributed to the exciting atmosphere at last Saturday's football game against Georgia at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, which drew a season-high attendance of 57,184.

"The crowd's energy was inspirational and helped head coach Ed Orgeron and the team to a heightened level of play," Boone said. "I'd like to challenge the Ole Miss faithful to continue their support throughout the remainder of the season and help the the Rebel football program build on its progress."

Boone also responded to questions regarding last Saturday's officiating.

"We have concluded our discussions with Commissioner Mike Slive and Coordinator of Football Officials Rogers Redding regarding the officiating of the game," said Boone. "We had an in depth discussion about specific plays as well as general officiating policies. I am comfortable this matter has been handled appropriately and appreciate the proactive approach from Rogers Redding and Commissioner Slive."

The Ole Miss Rebels celebrate homecoming this weekend and host the Vanderbilt Commodores Saturday in another SEC showdown. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
