Five Rebel Netters Earn ITA Southeast Regional Ranking

The Southeast Region is regarded as the nation’s toughest region with six teams finishing the 2006 season ranked among the nation’s top 25.
Ole Miss tied Georgia (2006 SEC Champion) for the most players on the singles list with four.
Tveit, currently ranked No. 8 in the nation, reached the finals of the HEB Baylor Intercollegiate and the quarterfinals of the National Indoor this fall. The 2006 NCAA Singles Semifinalist headlines a strong team, with six of the top seven returning from last year’s SEC West Champions.
Junior Robbye Poole turned in an excellent fall campaign, to earn a No. 20 regional ranking. He finished 12-4, including three wins over nationally-ranked opponents.
Bram ten Berge came in at No. 22 in the regional rankings, while Jakob Klaeson is ranked No. 25. Klaeson advanced from the qualifying tournament to the third round at the All-American Championships.
Ole Miss placed one doubles team in the regional rankings with Klaeson and Chris Rea at No. 12. The duo went 7-1, including knocking off the nation’s No. 3 team on their home court to win the Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational.
The latest individual national rankings as well as the preseason team rankings will come out in January.
The Rebels open the 2007 season Jan. 19-22 at the SEC Indoor Championships. Their first dual match will be Jan. 24 when they host
