OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss track and field head coach Joe Walker announced on Monday that the Mississippi Open scheduled for April 22 has been canceled.
"We had an open date on that day, so we were trying to put a meet together," said Walker. "We just didn't have enough quality competition committed to make the meet worthwhile. We will not be competing that weekend. It will be an open date."
Ole Miss track and field travels to Tampa, Fla. this weekend, for the South Florida Invitational.
