Rebels Finish Ninth At Administaff Augusta State Invitational

Augusta, Ga. - The Ole Miss men's golf team fired a final round team total of 302 to finish ninth at the Administaff Invitational hosted by Augusta State. The Rebels finished with a three round total of 291-287-302--880.

Kyle Ellis carded a team high final round score of 74 to lead the Rebels on the final day. Ellis' three round total of 219 tied him with fellow Rebel golfer Larry Blatt for 25th place overall. Blatt's scorecard included rounds of 71-72-76.

Coastal Carolina won the overall team title with a two day score of 854. South Carolina-Aiken took second place with a score of 859 and Clemson finished third with a total of 864. South Carolina-Aiken's Scott Brown fired a three round total of 70-69-68--207 to win the overall individual title with a score of nine under par.

The Rebels finished ahead of SEC rivals Tennessee and LSU, who finished the tournament 13th and 15th overall, repetitively.

Jamie Howarth finished the tournament tied for 43rd with a final score of 223 that included rounds of 74-72-76. Will Roebuck tied for 48th overall with rounds of 73-75-76 for a total of 223. David Marino turned in a scorecard of 77-70-78--225 to finish in a tie for 53rd.

Ole Miss will return to the links on Friday, April 7, when they travel to Auburn, Ala., for the Auburn Intercollegiate.
