Day Trip To San Francisco

The Rebels enjoyed one final day in California as a team, taking in some sightseeing in San Francisco.

Upon arriving and parking, the team walked a long way up a steep hill to see a view of the city from the top. It was worth the walk up, even on a cloudy day. The view of the city from the top is amazing.

After that it was back down the hill to Fisherman's Wharf to sample some Clam Chowder, West Coast style. I think it's safe to say all enjoyed the Clam Chowder.

Several of the guys wanted to go to Alcatraz, but it was booked until 6:30, so a view from the Wharf would have to do.

A few of us took a trolley ride through the city admiring the beautiful homes and the architecture. Others stayed around the Wharf doing a little souvenir shopping.

Before heading out of the city, we headed over the Golden Gate Bridge. We stopped at the Golden Gate Visitor Park to take some pictures. There is nothing like it in the world and everyone on the team who visited, loved it. After several pictures, we headed back to Palo Alto.

It rained a good bit while we were in San Francisco, and a few of us got soaking wet, but the rain did not dampen the mood. All in all, it was a fun day!
