Rebels' Justin Henry Named Preseason All-SEC By Rivals.com

Henry returns to help anchor the Rebels defense at second base in the 2007 after turning in a stellar sophomore campaign. The
Ole Miss posted a 44-22 record in 2006, breaking the 40-win plateau for the second consecutive season and only the third time in school history. It was also the first time the program had posted back-to-back 40-win seasons.
Henry helped lead a prolific offense last season, hitting .332 for the year with 30 RBI and a home run. His speed on the basepath was essential to the Rebel offense as he tallied 12 doubles, three triple and was 18-of-22 in steals. His 18 steals was the third most on the team.
In the field, Henry was a tremendous asset as the rangy second baseman used his 6-3 frame and speed to his advantage, turning in a .959 fielding percentage as he committed only 13 errors in 319 chances.
Henry was a big part of the Rebels run to through the Southeastern Conference tournament as he hit .438 for the event with four RBI and five runs scored. He was named to the All-Tournament team for the second-straight season for his performance. Henry was an All-Tournament selection as a designated hitter in the 2005 tournament.
The second baseman used flawless defense in the NCAA Regional to help push the Rebels to a second-consecutive NCAA Regional Championship in 2006 and was named to the All-Region team for his efforts in the field as he did not commit a fielding error on the weekend.
Henry will help lead the Rebels into the 2007 campaign when Ole Miss takes the field against
