Inside Athletics: Sans Russell

OleMissSports.com's Inside Athletics is a biweekly blog by the Ole Miss athletics department's senior administrators and key personnel to offer fans added insight into the overall operation of the department.

It has been an extremely busy year for the staff of the athletics ticket office, and that is the way we like it.  I hope that we are serving the needs of all our customers in an efficient and helpful manner. Our office is located in the Tad Smith Coliseum. Call anytime from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and order tickets or have your questions answered. You can walk in and purchase tickets from the Coliseum ticket windows Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. To order by phone call toll free 1-888-732-8587 or order in the online athletics ticket office. We sell advance tickets for football, baseball and men’s and women’s basketball.  For tickets to soccer, volleyball or softball just come to the game, and buy your general admission tickets at the gate as you enter. We have a combined 61 years of ticket office experience currently on staff between myself and my five co-workers, Debra Cole, Wesley Owen, Theda Tatum, James “JT” Taylor and Candy Williams.  Please call us anytime you need our assistance.

Football season is well under way, and we have issued approximately 39,521 season tickets this year for football. If you would like to attend an upcoming Rebel game, there are still tickets available to all home games. The Alabama and LSU games are both nearing sellout status, so hurry with those orders. The football gameday ticket office is located next to the street near the north end zone. Available tickets to remaining football games are also sold at the game day ticket office. It is open three hours prior to kickoff until the end of the third quarter. If you would like to receive your tickets by mail, please order by one of the methods above.

Men’s and women’s basketball renewals went out two weeks ago and have been rolling in. Coach Kennedy and Coach Ladner both have promising teams and need you to be there to support them. Now is the time to be ordering your tickets if you have not already done so. All tickets for basketball will be e-tickets, meaning you can go online and sell or transfer your tickets to someone else if you so choose.

Baseball season renewals will be sent out before the Christmas break, so be on the lookout.  Coach Bianco has another great home schedule and a talented bunch of ballplayers that will impress you this spring.  Don’t miss being a part of this exciting season.
