Rebel Golfers Move Up In Standings At Seminole Intercollegiate

After opening with a 297, the Rebels rebounded to shoot 1-over to move up from seventh. With a two-day total of 586, they trail third place Northwestern by two shots.
Rebel senior Chris Rogers is tied for fifth with a 70-73--143, but is just two back of the leader,
The rest of the Rebel squad improved their day one scores. Senior Callum Macaulay went from a first round 74 to an even-par 72 and is tied for 18th. Sophomore Will Roebuck carded a 72 after an opening-round 77 and is tied for 35th. David Marino had the biggest improvement going from a first round 79 to a second round 72. Brice Bailey shot 76-75.
“Our team played solid today,” head coach Ernest Ross said. “The greens were fast and tricky. It made the course much more difficult then it appeared. Our guys have that look of determination in their eyes. We are going into the final round preparing to win.”
The Rebels are seeking their second top five finish in a row and third of the year. The field includes 10 nationally ranked and five SEC teams.
