OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss senior guard Armintie Price added a very prestigious honor to her resume after being named a unanimous selection to the 2007 All-SEC First Team by the Associated Press. Price joined LSU's Sylvia Fowles and Tennessee's Candace Parker as unanimous selections, while Tasha Humphrey of Georgia and Alexis Hornbuckle of Tennessee rounded out the first team.
Price tallied first team honors from the AP last season, but was a unanimous selection this season. She ranked second in the league in scoring with 18.1 points per game, while also ranking first in steals (3.8), fourth in assists (4.8) and fifth in rebounding (9.1). She was the only player in the conference to rank in the top five in all four categories.
Price collected 15 double-doubles on the season and also recorded the first triple-double in school history with 34 points, 15 rebounds and 12 steals in a win over Illinois. Her 12 steals set a new Ole Miss single-game record and is the highest steal mark in the NCAA this season. She leads the nation in steals per game and was tabbed the SEC Defensive Player of the Year by the league coaches.
The AP selected Tennessee's Pat Summitt as Coach of the Year and Parker as Player of the Year, while Georgia's Ashley Houts received Newcomer of the Year honors.
