Reese, Yarbrough Earn All-America Honors

Reese finished third in the women’s long jump with a mark of 21-00.50. The reigning SEC long jump champion earned All-America honors with her performance. She also finished the season with the longest jump in the country at 21-09.50. Reese earned six team points for the Lady Rebels with her third place finish. It was the first All-America honor of Reese’s career.
Yarbrough finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.73 earning him All-America honors. It was the second All-America honor for Yarbrough. He earned All-America honors with a fifth place finish in the 110-meter hurdles in last year’s NCAA Outdoor Championships. Yarbrough turned in a time of 7.72 to advance to the finals. His time placed him fifth in the prelims. Yarbrough earned five team points for the Rebels with his performance.
Junior Kenyata Coleman finished 14th in the women’s 400 meters with a time of 54.10. Coleman was not able to advance to tomorrow’s finals.
Sophomore Rodney Lockhart turned in a time of 47.43 in the prelims of the men’s 400 meters. Lockhart finished 12th overall and did not advance to tomorrow’s finals.
Senior Jacob Farmer qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships in the 200 meters, but was not able to compete due to injury.
After day one the Ole Miss women are currently in 13th place in the team standings and the Ole Miss men sit in 23rd place.
