Series History: Ole Miss leads the all-time series with the Diamond Vols 33-29. The Rebels swept the
last meeting between the two teams in Oxford last season as part of an 11-game win streak during the
2006 season.

NOTING KLINE:
Kline took no decision for the sixth time this season as he lef the game with the Rebels holding a 14-6 lead on Mississippi State but only worked 4.2 innings. Kline has struck out 91 and walked 30 this year. Kline has made 13 starts this season, tied for the most on the team with Saturday starter Lance Lynn.

UT - Nick Hernandez (Fr., LHP, 3-2, 36.1 IP, 5.94 ERA)
OM - Lance Lynn (So., RHP, 5-3, 79.2 IP, 2.49 ERA)
NOTING LYNN:
A two-time SEC Pitcher of the Week, Lynn picked up his fifth win with 8.0 innings of work and nine strikeouts against Mississippi State. His 99 strikeouts this year leads the team and moved him into ninth on the single season strikeout list. He has only walked 25 on the year to go along with the 99 strikeouts.

OM - Nathan Baker (Fr., LHP, 5-1, 53.2 IP, 3.52 ERA)
NOTING BAKER:
Baker makes his fifth SEC start against the Vols after posting a 2-0 record in four starts in SEC play. Baker pitched 7.0 innings, allowing only one run against #17 Mississippi State on Sunday in a 17 inning game. He has struck out 36 and walked 13 on the year.


SCOUTING THE VOLUNTEERS:
Tennessee enters the weekend series after a week off since taking the series at LSU 2-1 last weekend. The Diamond Vols are hitting .288 as a team and are led at the plate by Andy Simunic who is hitting .346 with 19 RBI. Yan Gomes leads the power hitters for Tennessee with seven home runs on the season and a team-high 38 RBI. As a pitching staff, the Volunteers hold a 4.69 ERA and are led James Adkins. Adkins holds a 5-6 record with a 2.83 ERA.He was struck out 103 and walked only 31.

TENNESSEE SERIES OUTLOOK:
Ole Miss enters the weekend looking to keep pace in the overall and Southeastern Conference races while Tennessee looks to gain ground in the race for a berth in the Southeastern Conference Tournament berth. Currently, the Rebels sit in third place overall and are in second in the SEC West. Tennessee holds down the fifth place spot in the SEC Eastern Division and is in 10th place in the overall standings for the SEC Tournament.
