Series History: Ole Miss and Arizona State have met once before in the history of the two programs as the Sun Devils defeated the Rebels 5-0 in the 1964 College World Series. It was an elimination game for the Rebels who fell to Southern California in the opening game of the CWS.

NOTING KLINE: Kline notched his seventh win of the year with a victory over Sam Houston State in the opening game of the NCAA Oxford Regional. Kline has struck out 127 batters and walked only 43 on the year for a 3:1 strikeout to walk ratio.He is holding opposing batters to a .234 batting average
SCOUTING THE SUN DEVILS:
Arizona State enters the weekend riding a three-game win streak after sweeping through the NCAA Tempe Regional this past weekend. The Sun Devils are hitting .351 as a team and have seven players hitting at the .350 mark or above. Brett Wallace leads the way with a .420 average at the plate as he has hit 15 home runs and has 74 RBI to lead the team. As a pitching staff, the Sun Devils hold a 4.15 ERA and are led by Josh Satow. Satow holds a 12-3 record with a 2.56 ERA, striking out 112 batters and walking 47 on the year.
REBELS - SUN DEVILS SERIES HISTORY:
Ole Miss and Arizona State have met once before in the history of the two programs and it was on baseball's biggest stage in the College World Series. The two teams met in 1964 in Omaha with the Sun Devils defeating Ole Miss (the Southeastern Conference Champion) by a score of 5-0 in an elimination game for the Rebels. Ole Miss fell to two Pac-10 teams that year as Southern California defeated the Rebels in the opening game of the CWS 3-2.It was the second appearance in Omaha for the Rebels, who had made their first appearance at the CWS in 1956.

The Rebels have faced off against 10 teams participating in the 2007 NCAA Tournament as Ole Miss held the toughest rated schedule in the nation according to WarrenNolan.com. The Rebels played 30 games, exactly half of their schedule, against those 10 teams this season. Ole Miss went 19-11 against teams in the field this season.

REGIONAL ATTENDANCE:
Ole Miss once again was one of the national leaders in attendance in the post-season as the Rebels drew more than 30,000 fans to Oxford for the NCAA Regional for the third straight season. Ole Miss led the nation in attendance in the 2005 NCAA Super Regional, the 2006 NCAA Regionals and 2006 NCAA Super Regionals. Ole Miss was fourth in attendance this year despite the Rebels playing in only three games.

THROUGH 63 GAMES IN 2006:
Through 63 games a year ago, the Rebels had posted a 43-20 record, three games ahead of this year's pace. Ole Miss was batting .311 as a team, while the pitching staff was holding to a 4.51 ERA through 555.1 innings pitched. The Rebels were 93-of-114 in steal attempts on the year. Ole Miss had hit 55 home runs on the year, four home runs ahead of this year's total of 51 home runs.
REGIONAL HOSTS:
Ole Miss hosted a Regional for the fourth-straight season when the NCAA Tournament opened this past Friday. The Rebels are one of only two teams in the nation (Texas being the other) to have hosted an NCAA Regional each of the past four seasons. Ole Miss has also hosted an NCAA Super Regional the last two seasons.
SUPER REGIONAL PLAY:
When the Rebels advanced to Super Regional play this season, Ole Miss became one of only four programs to have advanced to the final 16 each of the past three seasons. Joining the Rebels in the Super Regionals each of the past three seasons are Clemson, Cal State Fullerton and Texas.
FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR:
Outfielder Jordan Henry became the third Rebel under Mike Bianco to earn Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year honors from the league's coaches. Henry tied for the league lead in hits and was among the top 10 in batting average, triples and runs scored in league play.
ALL-SEC/FRESHMAN TEAMS:
The Rebels saw six players take seven spots on the All-SEC and All-Freshman teams from the league coaches. Sophomore RHP Lance Lynn earned second team honors as a starting pitcher while RHP Cody Satterwhite earned second team honors as a relief pitcher. Jordan Henry was named a second team outfielder. Henry was also named to the Freshman team along with 2B Zach Miller and LHP Nathan Baker.
TOURNAMENT TRIPLE THREAT:
Junior OF Justin Henry proved to be a triple threat when it comes to the Southeastern Conference Tournament as he was named to the All-Tournament team for the third straight year following this season's tournament. Henry made history, however, for being the first player to earn a spot on the All-Tournament team three straight years at three different positions. He was named as a designated hitter in 2005 before earning a spot as a second baseman in 2006. This season, Henry was named to the All-Tournament team as an outfielder.
FRESHMAN ALL-AMERICA:
Ole Miss saw three players named to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America Team as announced by Collegiate Baseball on Wednesday. It is the first time the Rebels have had three Freshman All-America selections in one season as Nathan Baker (LHP), Jordan Henry (OF) and Zach Miller (2B) were all selected to the team. The trio join current Rebels Cody Satterwhite (2006) and Zack Cozart (2005) in the honor. Also selected to the team in the past were Adam Yates (2001), Seth Smith (2002), Matt Tolbert (2002), Stephen Head (2003) and Alex Presley (2004).
