Baldwin, Moore Win AAU Silver Medals in Track

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. A pair of Ole Miss track and field signees won silver medals at the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Junior Olympics recently held in Knoxville, Tenn.

 

LaJada Baldwin, a senior at Central Visual School of Performing Arts in St. Louis, Mo., won the silver medal in the young women’s 400 meter dash with a time of 53.50. The mark was a personal best and is the 3rd fastest time in the nation for the Class of 2007.

 

Joining Baldwin was fellow Ole Miss signee Lee Moore, a senior at Memphis University School in Cordova, Tenn. Moore won the silver medal in the young men’s 400-meter hurdles with a time of 51.38. Moore’s time is the fifth fastest among high schoolers in the nation this season.

 

Baldwin and Moore will join Rebels beginning in the 2007-08 academic year.
