Nine Student-Athletes Named to Who's Who

OXFORD, Miss. - Nine student-athletes were among the 141 University of Mississippi students recently named to the Fall 2007 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

Membership into Who's Who is based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extra-curricular activities and potential for continued success.

The Rebel football, soccer and women's tennis programs led the way with two honorees each on the list.

Ole Miss student-athletes named to the Fall 2007 Who's Who list include: Carmia Carroll (track & field), Jason Cook (football), Cori Mehan (soccer), Casey Phillips (rifle), Christopher Rea (tennis), Mimi Renaudin (tennis), Ann Shelton (soccer), Preethi Subramanian (tennis) and David Traxler (football).

Who's Who Among Students has become one of the most highly regarded long-standing honors programs in the nation. Honorees are chosen from among students at some 1,900 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign countries.
