Rebel Golfers Head North For Memphis Intercollegiate

OXFORD, Miss. The Ole Miss men's golf team, ranked No. 13 in the latest Golfweek Rankings, looks to defend its title at the Memphis Intercollegiate beginning Monday at the Colonial Country Club.
The Rebels are coming off a second place finish at the Shoal Creek Intercollegiate in their last tournament. They beat then No. 2 LSU, No. 19 Texas Tech, No. 21 Wake Forest and No. 25 Auburn and just missed out on the title by two strokes. Three Rebels finished in the top four.
Ole Miss will send Jesse Speirs, Joe David, Will Roebuck, Jonathan Randolph and Stefan Strandlund to Memphis. Freshman Sean Dale will compete as an individual.Speirs, who took second at last year's Memphis Intercollegiate, leads the team with a 72.83 stroke average.
