Rebel Cross Country Competes At Greater Louisville Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. Senior Kyle Lewis recorded a 10th place finish and was the top Rebel runner Saturday to highlight competition at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic.
Lewis posted a time of 24:17.80 in the 8k run to help the men's team to a 22nd place finish. In addition, it was the third time this season in which Lewis has placed in the top-10 of the meet.
Junior Gabriel Ngwiri finished second for the Rebels and 56th overall with a time of 25:12.70, while fellow junior Chad Berry took 93rd place with his time of 25:37.39.
Freshman Josh Porter posted a time of 27:48.55 to finish in 259th place, while sophomore Alejandro Quintana was 278th with a time of 28:32.73.
On the women's side, freshman Logan Waites helped Ole Miss to a 21st place finish as she turned in a time of 18:25.52 on her way to a 39th place finish. Sophomore Julie Little earned a 96th place finish with her time of 19:05.57
Sophomore Allison Kenip raced to a time of 19:16.69 to take 115th place, while senior Lindsay Doucett finished 168 with a time of 20:00.15. Freshman Jamie McCulloch rounded out the Rebel runners with a time of 20:33.45 to finish in 212th place.
Ole Miss returns to action Oct. 18 when the Rebels travel to Terre Haute, Ind., to take part in Pre-Nationals.
