“David is a local superstar that we’re fired up to have sign with us," said Ole Miss recruiting coordinator Rob Reinstetle. "He is a program changing type player because of the way he swings the bat and pitches. He’s one of the biggest recruits we’ve had here in a long time.”

As a junior, Renfroe posted a 4-3 record on the mound with a 2.13 ERA as he helped lead the Tigers on the mound and also played shortstop. He has hit over .500 each of the past two seasons. Renfroe was named the Division 2-5A Player of the Year as a junior last season while garnering All-State honors. He was also named an Under Armour All-American.
