Ole Miss Men's Golf Set To Begin Spring Season

The 54-hole tournament features 36 holes on Saturday and 18 on Sunday. The elite field includes No. 9 Duke, No. 12 Florida, No. 13 Florida State, No. 18 Wake Forest and No. 35 UAB.
The Rebels, ranked No. 20 in Golfstat, will have an experienced lineup at the tournament, with all five players having competed in most of the fall tournaments. Leading the way is senior Kyle Ellis of
Ellis will be joined by freshman Chris Mullhaupt, senior David Marino, freshman Jonathan Randolph and junior Jesse Speirs.
Mullhaupt played in four of the six tournaments in the fall, while
Speirs tied for the team-lead with a 71.92 stroke average, including three top-five finishes. Marino, a member of last year’s NCAA East Regional team, ranks third on the team with a 73.07 average.
“Our players have worked hard on preparations for this first tournament of the spring,” head coach Ernest Ross said. “This is a very strong field, and if we think we belong in the nation’s elite, this is the time to prove it. Kyle and Chris have played very well and led us in qualifying. I am proud of them for their attitude and leadership.”
