Perry (3-2) pitched a complete game en route to her third victory of the season. She struck out a career-high 10 batters in 7.0 innings of work. She allowed only two hits and one unearned run in the start.
Tramp hit her second homer of the season in the sixth which scored Lauren Grill, who had doubled to right to lead off the inning.
Tramp finished the day 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run scored. Grill was a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, a single and two runs scored. Michelle May also added two singles on the day.
Grill doubled to right field to start the fourth inning and later scored on a single up the middle by Lauren Rowe.
The Jaguars threatened in the seventh after loading the bases on a single, a hit by pitch and an error. An error by shortstop Alyssa McGovern allowed one run to score, but Perry struck out Jaguar shortstop Jenny Stevens to end the game.
“Lindsey has been a little sick,” said Ole Miss head coach Missy Dickerson. “She came out today and threw the ball well. It should not have been, but Amber’s home run was the game winner and it is what we needed.”
