OXFORD, Miss. Ole Miss junior center Shawn Goff continues to add to her growing list of postseason awards as she was selected to the All-SEC Second Team Tuesday by the Associated Press.

Earlier this season, Goff was selected to the All-SEC Second Team as voted on by the league’s coaches.  Her selection marks the fifth straight year Ole Miss has placed at least one Lady Rebel on one of the All-SEC teams.

Goff, who started 28 of the 29 games in which she appeared, finished the season ranked first on the team and 10th in the SEC with 13.0 points per game.  She also ranked second on the team and 12th in the conference with 6.8 rebounds per game. Goff scored in double figures in all but five games this season, and finished the year second on the team with four double-doubles.

Not only was Goff a force on the offensive end of the court, but she also served as one of the country’s top shot blockers.  The Tallahassee, Fla., native ended the regular season first in the SEC and 23rd in the nation with 2.33 blocked shots per game.  During the course of the season, Goff recorded three blocked shots or more in a total of 16 games, including a career-high six rejections in the Lady Rebels’ 65-52 win over Miami.  Her six swats against the Hurricanes were tied for the second most blocked shots by any player in the SEC this season.  In addition, Goff set the single season school record with 67 blocks, surpassing Susan Byrd’s 60 rejections set during the 1993-94 season.
