OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss head football coach Houston Nutt announced here Friday that Jamariey Atterberry has been dismissed from the Rebel squad for breaking team rules.

Atterberry, a 5-10, 182-pound cornerback from Kosciusko, Miss., was a member of the 2007 signing class.  He did not see any playing time during his true freshman season and was redshirted.

A first-team All-State selection as a senior while playing at Kosciusko High School, Atterberry was named to the SuperPrep All-Region team and was ranked as the No. 13 player in Mississippi by Scout.com and The Sun-Herald.  He was No. 6 on The Clarion-Ledger's 10 Most Wanted list.
