Vote for Ole Miss Cheerleader in National Contest

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Ole Miss cheerleader Lindsey Zepponi has been chosen to represent the Southeastern Conference in the Athlon Sports 2008 Sideline Spirit Contest, sponsored by JVC.
Voting for round one begins Saturday at www.athlonsports.com/spirit and will continue through Friday, Oct. 10. Voters must register for a free Athlon Sports account, and voting is limited to 20 times per day per account. Fans can also vote up to 10 times per day with a valid Facebook account through the Sideline Spirit Facebook application.
Athlon's Sideline Spirit Contest is entering its sixth year and features at least 32 spirit contestants from across the country. The competition runs from the beginning of the college football season in September until the national championship game in January.
The program is broken into four rounds, featuring seven cheerleaders or dancers in each round (one from each BCS conference and one non-BCS representative). At the conclusion of the regular season, spirit contestants will advance to our championship round, which is held during the bowl season.
Contestants can advance to the championship round by either receiving the most votes in her round or getting the most votes in her conference. The overall winner will be featured in the 2009 Athlon Sports College Football annuals, and her squad will receive $1,000, a 42-inch LCD JVC television with integrated iPod Dock, a JVC Full HD Hard Disk Camcorder and a JVC Mini System with Built-In iPod Dock.
