OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss Athletics continues to expand its philanthropy efforts with the addition of Allen Greene to the UMAA Foundation as Major Gifts Officer.

"We couldn't be more excited to add a development officer of Allen's ability to our staff," said Danny White, UMAA Foundation Chief Development Officer. "To that end, he possesses the talent and experience to make a major impact on the future of Ole Miss Athletics."

A native of Seattle, Wash., Greene comes to Oxford from his alma mater Notre Dame, where he spent the past two years as program coordinator for Athletics Advancement. He was responsible for the development and execution of various stewardship programs, in addition to numerous on-campus and off-campus events for Athletics Advancement.

Before joining the Notre Dame development staff, Greene served five years in the Irish athletics compliance office. As the coordinator of compliance, he oversaw the certification of student-athlete eligibility and handled all technology issues within the office.

A 1999 graduate of Notre Dame, Greene was a two-year starter in the Irish outfield before signing with the New York Yankees after his junior season, as a ninth-round Major League Draft selection.

He spent three years in the Yankees organization before making career stops with Shamrock Net Design, LLC in South Bend, Ind., and Common Ground Realty in Philadelphia, Pa.
