Boxx Falls In Second Round At ITA National Indoor

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Ole Miss sophomore Kristi Boxx lost her second round match at the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships Friday.
Boxx, a native of Grenada, dropped a straight set decision to the No. 4 seed, Jana Juricova of California, 7-5, 6-2. With the loss, Boxx, ranked No. 25 in the nation, finishes the fall season with a 7-6 record.
In consolation doubles, Boxx and Karen Nijssen defeated Boise State's Lauren Magale and Pichittra Thongdach 8-4.
The ITA National Indoor features 32 of the nation's top men's and women's singles players as well as the top 16 teams in doubles vying for the second of three national championships this year.
