Rebel Freshman Shoots 67 At Schekel E-Z Go

STATESBORO, Ga. The 21^st-ranked Ole Miss men’s golf team got a 5-under 67 from freshman Joe David in the second round of the Schenkel E-Z Go Invitational, but that was not enough, as they finished with a 293 and stand in a tie for ninth heading into the final round at the Forest Heights Country Club.

David posted seven birdies on the day to jump all the way up to a tie for 11^th in the individual standings.  The 67 ties his career best as a Rebel, equaling the his first round of the Seminole Intercollegiate.

Sophomore Jonathan Randolph shot a 73 in the second round and is also tied for 11^th with a 144.  Senior Jesse Speirs posted a 74, freshman Sean Dale carded a 79 and redshirt freshman Billy Brozovich had an 81 to round out the Rebels.

South Carolina and Florida sit atop the leader board at 579. Tennessee is in third at 580, North Carolina State stands in fourth at 582, and Kentucky and host Georgia Southern are tied for fifth at 584.
