Ole Miss Softball To Host Summer Camps

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss softball team will be hosting two general skills camps, as well as a split-day hitting and pitching camp this summer.

The Rebels will host two general skills camps June 8-10 and 15-17. The first camp is for players entering the 9th-12th grades, while the second is for those in grades 2-8. The camp will cover the fundamentals of hitting, bunting/slapping, base running, sliding, fielding, as well as the mental side of game play.  Situations will be focused on the campers, as well as their specific position.  Also the campers will interact with the Ole Miss coaching staff and players. The cost of the camp is $250.

A split-day pitching/hitting camp will be offered for players aged 8-18 on July 14-15. The camp will feature a pitching session in from 9 a.m. until noon and a hitting clinic from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Those participating in the pitching session will be grouped by skill level. The camp will consist of drills, as well as going over grips, stance, motion, pitches and understanding pitching vs. throwing. The hitting camp will be grouped by age and will cover station work, as well as cover the fundamentals of hitting and bunting/slapping. The cost of each camp is $110 and campers will receive a $10 discount if they participate in both clinics.
