Moore Takes 11th At USA Track And Field Championships

Moore advanced to the semifinals in the 400 meter hurdles after finishing 10th in the preliminaries with a time of 50.77, while competing against many of the best professional and amateur athletes in the United States. LaJada Baldwin took part in the 400 meters and finished in 20th place with a time of 54.64 amongst some of the best professional and amateur athletes in the United States. In field events, Wale Odetunde leaped a distance of 49-10.00 on his way to a 14th place finish in the triple jump. In the USA Junior Track and Field Championships, Rebel freshman Brian Knight finished fourth in the high jump with a jump of 7-0.50. That mark eclipses his previous best of 6-10.75 and places him second on the all-time Ole Miss list. Ole Miss signee Ricky Robertson (Hernando, Miss.) won the event with a jump of 7-01.75. He is the No. 1 ranked high jumper in the nation and state high school champion. Freshman Caleb Lee turned in a fifth place finish in the long jump with a mark of 24-09.75. Lee advances to the finals and will compete Sunday afternoon at 5:20 p.m. Along with Lee, Knight and Aria Gaines will compete in the triple jump Sunday afternoon.
