Matt Vincent Joins Athletics Staff In Compliance

OXFORD, Miss. -- Matt Vincent has joined the Ole Miss athletics department staff as compliance coordinator, senior associate athletics director for compliance, David Wells, announced Thursday. Vincent will oversee baseball, women's basketball, soccer, men's and women's golf and rifle.

Vincent spent the previous academic year as a compliance assistant at Central Michigan University. His responsibilities included monitoring initial and continuing eligibility of all student-athletes for 14 sports, monitoring recruiting activities, producing a compliance newsletter for staff and boosters, assisting with the development and administration of a compliance website and maintaining a comprehensive student-athlete database which provided relevant financial aid and eligibility information to coaches, administrators, the Mid-American Conference and the NCAA. He also served as interim compliance coordinator for the month of June.

Prior to his position at Central Michigan, Vincent was a compliance intern at Southeast Missouri State from December of 2007 to July of 2008. He also served as a graduate assistant in the football program at SEMO.

Originally from California, Vincent received a B.A. in Kinesiology from Saint Mary's College of California in 2005 and a M.A. in Higher Education Administration from Southeast Missouri State University in 2008.

Vincent was a three-year letterwinner (2001-03) on the Saint Mary's College of California football team. He also played football at New Mexico State in 2004.
