Randolph Two Back At Carpet Capital

Randolph, who had seven birdies on Friday, added five more on Saturday for a total of 5-under 139. Henley, who began the day tied for sixth, fired a 6-under 66 to overtake Randolph and his Bulldog teammate Harris English for the 54-hole lead.
The Rebels fared much better Saturday, following up Friday's 304 with a 295. Freshman Tom Brown of England came back strong after an opening 79 to shoot 71. Sophomore Billy Brozovich, who also had a 79 in round one, shot five better (74) in the second round.
"We played a little better today, but still not up to our standards. We must eliminate some of the three-putts and big scores," head coach Ernest Ross said. "I am proud of Jonathan again, and also Tom. We really need to get a full team effort tomorrow."
Chattanooga leads the field with a two-day total of 575. Tennessee (577) trails by two. South Carolina and Alabama are tied for third at 583, and Wake Forest and Georgia Tech are tied for fifth at 585.
