Collegiate Baseball Ranks Rebel Recruiting Class 18th Nationally
9/17/2009 | Baseball
OXFORD, Miss. - As the Ole Miss baseball program enters its 10th season under the direction of head coach Mike Bianco, the Rebels again find themselves among the nation's best in recruiting as Collegiate Baseball named the 2009 recruiting class 18th nationally on Thursday.
It marks the seventh recruiting class under Bianco to be ranked nationally. Collegiate Baseball is the first publication to release its rankings of recruiting class this season. Baseball America - who ranked the Rebels 11th nationally a year ago - will release its rankings later in the year.
Collegiate Baseball has been ranking recruiting classes for 27 years and only includes players who enroll in college in its evaluation of the signing class.
Ole Miss is preparing to begin fall practice the weekend of September 25 as the Rebels work towards the 2010 season and defending the Southeastern Conference title claimed by Ole Miss last season.
