OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss Athletics continues to expand its communication efforts and is pleased to announce the launching of its official Twitter site, twitter.com/OleMissNow, as well as sites for many of the Rebel coaches.

Among the Ole Miss personalities now on Twitter is head football coach Houston Nutt, whose official Twitter site is found at RebelCoachNutt.

Other Rebel head coaches on Twitter include men's basketball's Andy Kennedy (CoachAK), women's basketball's Renee Ladner (Renee_Ladner), soccer's Steve Holeman (SteveHoleman), volleyball's Joe Getzin (CoachGetzin), softball's Missy Dickerson (MissyDickerson), women's tennis' Mark Beyers (MarkBeyers), men's golf's Ernest Ross (CoachErnestRoss), women's golf's Michele Drinkard (CoachDrinkard) and track & field's Joe Walker (CoachJoeWalker).

The athletics department's Twitter site, OleMissNow allows Rebel fans to receive text-message updates either online or by cell phones. These "tweets" will allow the department to instantaneously inform fans of important breaking news, score reports, weather updates, and any other key information.

In addition, Ole Miss Athletics has also activated another complementary account, OleMissFeed. This site offers an automated feed of all news articles that are posted to OleMissSports.com.

Also working in conjuction with the Rebels' official athletics website, OleMissSportsBlog.com supplies fans with quick news and nuggets from Rebel athletics while sharing other interesting stories and links from elsewhere on the web. Outstanding performances by former Rebels are highlighted, while photos and other multimedia are showcased.

Social media opportunities for Rebel fans also include Facebook through the official Ole Miss Athletics page, which is available by searching for "Ole Miss Athletics" under "Pages" on the site. The page provides fans with multimedia content, discussion topics and the latest headlines through their Facebook accounts. Ole Miss students can also learn about upcoming promotions and gameday giveaways.
