Rebel Track And Field Set For Razorback Invitational

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss track and field team will take part in its third meet of the season when the Rebels travel to Fayetteville, Ark., to compete in the Razorback Invitational that begins Friday morning at 11 a.m. from the Randal Tyson Track Center.
The Rebels have put together two strong meets thus far this season and bring some of the nation's top talent into this weekend's Razorback Invitational.
On the women's side, junior sprinter LaJada Baldwin ranks eighth in the nation in the 60 meters with her NCAA provisional top time of 7.38. Baldwin also stands 13th in the country in the 200 meters with a mark of 24.19.
In the 400 meters, sophomore Sofie Persson is 13th in the NCAA with a time of 55.06, while senior Jasmine Dacus is 24th in the country in the event with her top time of 55.91. In addition, the Rebel 4x400 meter relay team of Dacus, Persson, Kristin Bridges and Baldwin stands 10th in the nation with a time of 3:42.75.
Junior Rachel Jenkins ranks 29th in the country in the long jump with a top distance of 19-07.50, while senior thrower Davina Orieukwu ranks 22nd in the shot put with an NCAA provisional mark of 50-00.00.
Freshman Mike Granger stands 12th in the nation in the 60 meters with his top time of 6.73. Distance runner Barnabas Kirui owns the fourth-best mile time in the NCAA with his mark of 4:06.79.
The Rebel 4x400 relay team of Carson Blanks, Brian Knight, Christopher Bush and Lee Ellis Moore are ranked 20th in the country with a mark of 3:13.61.
In field events, Knight is 11th in the nation in the high jump with an NCAA provisional mark of 7-00.25. Sophomore Caleb Lee stands 20th in the triple jump with his top distance of 24-04.25.
